During Lent the theme is often about sin and the sinner, and we see the chasm between how people see sin and the sinner as opposed to how God sees them. To God sin is hateful, but to the sinner God is merciful. The world may glorify sin but will tear the sinner who is caught to shreds.

Before Charity there is justice. We are called to make sure that the structures we have are just and serve everyone. As Catholics it is not enough to feed the hungry but we must address the cause of hunger in our world.
